Message I'm not sure if the bypass can be done without removing it. If not, you may be able to remove it with a plenum pull and other things but it still won't be easy.

I've got my plenum pulled right now and had considered it, but the EGR is still buried under a mass of large coolant pipes/hoses and the wiring harness, not to mention being crammed between the firewall and engine. The connection for the coolant pipes are about 6" down the back of the engine, and the bolts that hold the bracketed EGR hard pipe to the back of the engine on both sides are really tough to reach to unbolt. Something to think about.
